Los Angeles Adventist Academy has educated several generations at its site near Compton. When Lynwood Academy was force to move, the elementary school site was selected to receive the high school. The firm was selected to design a new 35,000 gsf facility accommodating a total of 600 K-12 students. The school's focus will still remain on providing religious education and incorporating those themes into the curriculum and to also prepare its students for the new technologies and fast changing world. The scope of the work is programming through construction documentation. The challenge is to provide the security for the children necessary in an sometimes unsafe area yet provide the tranquility and openness for an enjoyable learning experience.
