The Lee residence was an addition to an older 2 bedroom home in La Canada. The owners were expecting their fist child and needed more room. The site was constrained by the existing garage and pool. The project remodeled the existing portion by expanding the living room and creating a master bedroom and 2 new bedrooms. The additions included a formal dinning room, laundry room, open kitchen and family room. The kitchen has a breakfast area that integrates with the family room. An one and half story alcove, adjacent to the family room, terminates the interior axis and over looks the swimming pool.
