Taipei
Medical College is located in the dense goverment district of Taipei,
Taiwan. The college shares an entry with its teaching hospital, but
provides few amenities for its students. The project was conceive to
honor the colleges's first dean. The Donor's plaza and new entry are
the first step to give the students a place to gather and an identity
that distinguishes the college from the hospital. The design brings
together elements from various Chinese literary and scholary traditions.
The plaza faces the college. The students can sit beneath the shady
trellis or by the edge of the memorial pool. Lanscape is used as a painter's
brush, blooms and colors are tied to holidays and school events.
